Intercultural Communication Workshop
Applications are now open for a one–day intensive workshop on INTERCULTURAL COMMUNICATION at CEU on Saturday, 18 March 2017 from 10.00-17.00.
The workshop aims to bring together people with different cultural backgrounds in order to share intercultural examples and stories, to offer a short insight into theories of cultural dimensions and to enhance intercultural communication skills through games, role plays and simulations. We encourage participants to bring their own stories, examples, experiences in order to have a truly interactive and informative workshop in an open, tolerant and curious ambience.
About the trainers:
Ilona Ilma Ilyes has a background in law and international relations. For the past six years she has been working on educational projects at CEU and currently she is working at the Global Learning Center of UNHCR. She has been working in an intercultural environment for many years, interacting with people from various cultural and religious backgrounds on a daily basis. This determined her to learn more about intercultural communication and to take part in various trainings programs at home and abroad to become a trainer in intercultural communication.
Maja Skalar has worked, studied and volunteered in Slovenia, Hungary, Denmark and Ghana over the past 14 years – half of them at CEU. Her formal educational background is in political science and human rights, which she complemented with both participating in and organizing international trainings and conferences on human rights education, intercultural communication etc. Currently she is coordinating two international higher education support programs at CEU, which inspires her daily to further study and enhance intercultural communication in practice.
CEU students, junior staff, CEU alumni, staff from NGOs, students from other universities, etc.
The workshop is free of charge for all applicants and all participants will receive a Certificate of completion.

The selection will be based on the application forms and the selected applicants will be notified via e–mail a few days after the deadline.
Applications should be sent to HRSI no later than Tuesday, March 7th.
